SFCC RACING SERIES
Every summer we race as a club. No shortage of camaraderie, but winning remains paramount.
One qualifier round and six different races that run every summer. Top four places count. Primes worth up to $50 per race.

Race Series qualifier
When: 7/12 @ 0600
Reward: $50 at your favorite SF bike shop
Prime winner: Matthew Wiebe
Your time will be used to handicap you for a few of the races; Fort Baker to top of Hawk, GGP Crit and Rodeo Lagoon to top of Hawk.
Round 1: Ft. Baker to hawk
When: 7/19 @ 0600
Reward: $25 + SFCC swag per men's and women's category
Prime winners: Matthew Wiebe and Keely Anson
Start times are based on the qualifying segment. We'll track times morning of, but also review the segment times on Strava after racers have uploaded. Fastest times earn points. Points awarded for top 5 across the line and top 5 segment times. Racers with the most race points are awarded series points.
Round 2: Rodeo to Hawk
When: 8/2 @ 0600
Prime: First to McCullough Rd.
Reward: First man and woman get $25 + SFCC swag item. Last person gets a surprise!
Prime winners: Matt Johnson, Keely Anson and Byron Anson
A handicapped, mass start, hill climb. The course is from Rodeo Beach to Hawk Hill with groups leaving the lagoon at staggered times based off the qualifier.
Round 3: Two Man Time Trial
When: 8/23 @ 0600
Prime: The fastest second lap time
Reward: Some special +watt socks
Prime Winners: Prime Winners = Geoff + Ron and Kortney + Jenn
Pairs time trial, pursuit style, no TT Bikes, six laps with each person leading 2 laps. Time is taken at the second rider to cross the line, don't drop your teammate!
Round 4: The Quickening
When: 8/30 @ 0600
Prime: Participation and podiums
Reward: Wool cycling caps, soul totems, bouquet of flowers and pride
One lap, one-on-one, head to head sprints in a single elimination tournament. All participating riders will be entered into a random drawing to face off in a series of races until only one rider remains, undefeated and triumphant.
Round 5: POINT RACE
When: 9/6 @ 0600
Prime: Laps 4, 12, 16. Plus most awesome effort
Reward: Coffee, Honey by Hood and Tour CA caps
16 laps. One rider will receive a point for winning each lap. Final lap placings receive 3/2/1 points. Riders with the most points in the race are awarded series points (5pts for 1st, 1 point for 5th)

When: 9/13 @ 0550
Prime: Fastest lap
Reward: Awesome swag from Ornot and Fabric
5 laps, handicapped with two groups. Mass start, start time based on qualifier segment times. Women will race at the same time/groups as the men, but be racing for places only against each other.
